LBF 5001 Pooja Rituals (3 credits)

Pooja is a Vedic ritual performed to connect yourself directly to the cosmic energy. By performing pooja one dispels the darkness of ignorance to illuminate pure knowledge. Pooja when performed with complete understanding becomes an intense spiritual practice and helps one achieve immense abundance in both inner world and outer world. Pooja helps a person to have a sound physical, mental and spiritual well being.

This course covers in detail the fundamentals and elaborates the techniques inolved at various steps of Pooja rituals. By completing this course, a student will be able to perform a complete elaborate pooja explaining the significance of each step performed.The poojas are covered for all Deities representing "ShanMatha", the six major worships in Vedic tradition.

When Pooja is performed in authentic way, not only the body but the space in which the ritual happens and the people who attend the ritual will all be benefited and blessed.

This course will involve extensive sanskrit chantings all of which willl be elaborately explained as the course proceeds. Prior sanskrit chanting knowledge is helpful. The course involves audio and visual course material. The course also involves a 1 week training session in one of the extended campuses. Final exam for this course will also happen in the same training week.
